From Silly Things We Do to I Do

One thing that has kept my relationship with my Leah stronger than ever is our ability to make one another laugh--- from corny jokes to sweet surprises to silly things that we do.

We are a fun-loving couple who have live, breath, got use to and grew with each other's sense of humor. I lost count of the jokes we have traded, senseless debates on just about anything, and moments that we feel like we are just kids playing ‘bahay-bahayan.”

Leah also tries to understand and like my interests even though she doesn’t have a clue of what she’ll be getting into. She had accompanied me to the two occasions WWE superstars wrestled at Araneta Coliseum and when NBA Madness came to Manila. She didn’t mind the rowdy crowd instead she screamed and cheered with me throughout the event.

In return, I also spoil her with the things that i still consider as "unacceptable". There is this one
time when her favorite DJs Nicole Hyala and Chris Tsuper (two of the loudest people in local morning FM radio) had this concert in SM Tagaytay (that's miles away from our place). I can't believe I'll be one of the crowd who asked for autographs from the singing duo. I even bought her new CDs of these radio personalities whom I still can't accept as "funny people", as what thousands of their listeners claim (including my wife). But I still believe that someday, I will learn to love Nicole and Chris... for my wife.

But of course, we act differently when it comes to serious matters. We have gone though a lot of trials in life: death in the family, career problems, financial matters, etc. We never loose hope because we believe that things happen for a reason and that someone up there always looks over us. And after the rain, we can smile again.

I must say that we have kept the romance alive in our marriage because we come to appreciate the beauty even in the silliest things that we do. And who would have thought that after the silly things we do, we would eventually exchange “I do’s”
